Dog Walking & Pet Care in Harrogate

I’m Aliesha, the owner of Chasing Tails. I offer dog walking, pet sitting and home visits in Harrogate, with care shaped around your pet’s routine and personality. I’m fully insured, DBS checked and dog first aid trained.

Group dog walks

Group sessions include a one-hour walk, with collection and return from home in my dog walking van. The usual walks are around 10am and 12pm. We explore fields and woodland, with time for exercise, sniffing and company.

Group walks suit dogs who are comfortable around other dogs. Dogs need good recall to walk off lead; otherwise, they stay on a lead. We’ll discuss your dog’s behaviour and needs before agreeing the right option.

One-to-one dog walks

Solo walks give your dog individual attention. They can suit dogs who prefer their own space or find group walks overwhelming. These walks last an hour and usually take place around 2pm, subject to availability.

Not sure which to choose? Read my guide to group versus solo dog walks.

Pet home visits

If your pet needs a check-in while you’re out, I can help with feeding, company and letting your dog into the garden or taking a short walk close to home. I also offer visits for cats and other small animals.

We’ll agree what each visit includes and the schedule your pet needs. See my home visit checklist for useful things to prepare.

Pet sitting

Going away? Contact me to discuss pet sitting at your home and the care your pet needs. Sitting arrangements include a walk, with company during the afternoons and evenings. This is not continuous all-day supervision, so we’ll need to agree a suitable plan before booking.

Why i do what i do…

I started dog walking at the beginning of 2023 when I helped out covering maternity leave. This is where my love of dog walking started, I have always enjoyed taking my own dogs on adventures but to take a group of many different dog breeds with individual characters is what really made me fall in love with it. There’s nothing better for the soul than watching a happy dog running around in nature. This is why I decided to start my own company.
